This is also an attractive way to display items while conservng space.

Three book shelves are placed in pinwheel fashion

giving patrons easy access to audio visual materials.

Mary Lou visited the J.C. Holiday Library in Clinton, NC earlier this year.
By placing the chairs back to back in their periodicals area they conserved

Mary Lou is the first at MPK to finish the 23 Things for Learning 2.0! Congratulations, Marlo, and thank you for all the help you have given the rest of the staff. We literally could not have done it without you!

Using rubber gloves and a waste basket, they caught the little fellow and set him free outside. For their fine work, they have recevied the coveted Teddy Bear Good Job Trophy. Way to go, guys!

Welcome! We are the 8 staff members of the Myers Park Branch of the Public Library and Mecklenburg County (PLCMC). Myers Park was built in 1956, the first of PLCMC's 24 branches. It will be 50 years old in October! As a birthday present, the building is scheduled for renovation in 2007. In the meantime, we 8 work in very tight quarters!
